paper ma-shay *splat*

Yesterday the kids and I made a big paper mache egg. After smashing up Andrew's pinata, he decided he wanted to make a new one. So I took some pictures of the kids slathering up in paper mache paste and putting the newspaper on a balloon. It turned out really well but I didn't take a picture of it complete because I was going to come out today and take one of it all dry, maybe with the kids painting it. I left it on the deck to dry not thinking anything about it. In the morning I came out to see if it was dry and some animal had eaten part of it and popped the balloon and we had a paper mache splat. That's all it was, a big splat of paper mache. I hadn't even thought about the fact that paper mache paste (flour) was food. Duh. Our yard is full of skunks, raccoons, armadillos, possums, etc... could have been anything. Oh well, guess we'll have to do it over, like we need an excuse to get messy!!
