Monday Ducks

My dad's brother is down visiting my parents from Michigan so we wanted to do some Austin tourist stuff with him. On monday we headed downtown to ride the Austin Ducks or as Loren calls them, the magic buses, because they can turn into boats! They take you on a sightseeing tour downtown in Austin before splashing into Lake Austin and boating around for a while and then heading back to the Visitor's Center. They also give everyone these quacking whistles to blow at people you drive by. It's hilarious.

Monday Mt Bonnell

After leaving downtown after riding the Ducks we headed to Mt Bonnell for a different perspective on the city.

First you climb a lot of stairs.

After leaving Mt Bonnell were were all thirsty and hungry so we headed to the 360 Waterloo Icehouse for some playtime and food and drinks. The kids got to play on the playground and we all got to eat and get a lot of water to drink. Loren's kids meal came with free icecream at the end. Yum!

Swim swim Spring break tuesday

One of our friends invited us over to swim in their backyard today. They have solar panels that were heating up the hot tub part of the pool so it was super warm. The pool was still freezing so the kids would jump in for a minute and then mostly swim in the hot tub part and had a total blast! I had fun chatting with my friend Gayle while the kids played. Yay! Spring break rules.
